Part 3: Living After Awakening — Rebuilding From Truth Instead of Habit

Subtly, but assuredly, something begins to shift again. It is not in a dramatic way, but you begin to recognize new signals are beginning to emerge. But they don’t typically arrive loudly.

They come as small moments of curiosity… a pull toward something you can’t quite explain… a sense of energy returning in unexpected places.

And this is where your attention matters the most. If you have become adept at observing yourself from an expanded viewpoint, you will better discern what is coming forth.

Following What Feels Alive - Even in the Small Ways

After a period of disconnection or stillness, you may start to notice:

  • a song that moves something in you

  • a place that feels calming or energizing

  • a conversation that feels more real than others

  • a desire to create, explore, or express in a new way

These are not random and they should not be ignored. They are signals. Your central nervous system is beginning to come back online, but differently than before.

The key is not to dismiss these small impulses, but to follow them gently. Allow yourself to experience movement again without needing it to make immediate sense. These acts are entraining your intellectual mind into a more expansive communication with your higher intelligence.

Caveat: When Disconnection Turns Into Judgment

There is a point in this process where the discomfort can take another form: instead of feeling lost, you may begin to feel frustrated… critical… even disconnected from others in a sharper way.

You might look around and think:

  • “Why is everyone still living like that?”

  • “Why can’t people see what I see?”

  • “I don’t belong here anymore.”

This is a delicate moment and if it isn’t recognized, it can turn into bitterness or quiet resentment. And although it may feel justified, it actually creates more separation.

Turning the Focus Back Inward

What you’re noticing “out there” is often reflecting something still asking for your attention within you. Not as blame, but simply as an awareness. (i.e. perhaps blame is illuminating where there is still some shame within)

Re-member: Your sensitivity has increased. Your perception has sharpened. And now, you’re seeing more clearly - both in the world and in yourself.

Instead of getting caught in judgment, you can gently ask:

  • What is this showing me about my own alignment?

  • Where am I being invited to shift, soften, or grow?

Because awakening is not about standing apart from the world. It is about learning how to be in it differently. To be of it wholly and with a love for life.

Letting Go Without Forcing Change

As your awareness deepens, some relationships, environments, or ways of being may naturally fall away. This often happens not through force or even rejection. Circumstances just reveal themselves naturally, like leaves falling in the autumn. When this happens, I invite you to notice it through the quiet recognition of, “This no longer fits.”

And while the instinct may be to hold on tightly - to fix, explain, or make things work - the real shift happens in the allowing.

Letting go doesn’t mean something was wrong. It means something has completed. And in releasing it, you create space for what is actually aligned with who you are now to enter your time & space.

Finding Your People Again

As you become more rooted in realizing your own truth, something else begins to happen: you start to attract different connections. In alignment, you are a crystallized silicon tuning fork that is emitting a new vibrational tone because you’re showing up more honestly. Others who resonate similarly seem to magically fall onto your daily path.

These connections feel:

  • more natural

  • more reciprocal

  • more grounded in presence rather than performance

You will know when this is about to unfold because you will sense a deepening relationship with yourself. You begin to trust your own inner world again. When you love and trust yourself, your surroundings will reflect the same.

The End of Loneliness

What once felt like loneliness has softened because you now sense something deeper: You were never actually disconnected.

You were being brought back into alignment with yourself, with life, with something greater that has been guiding this entire process.

That feeling of emptiness transforms into space and that space becomes openness. From that openness, something entirely new can emerge… your best life.

Creating From a New Place

From this new place, you cannot carry out the tasks you identified in the previous version of you. Instead of trying to recreate your old life with a new mindset you begin to create from a completely aligned foundation wherein your core values have been refined in this process.

You may feel called to:

  • express yourself in new ways, pursuing joy over job

  • build deeper, more meaningful relationships – superficial becomes unbearable

  • explore creativity without pressure – dance as if no one is watching

  • listen more closely to your inner guidance – valuing inner guidance above everything else

There is no single “right” path here. Only invitations:

To follow what feels true.

To trust what is unfolding.

To give yourself permission to live in a way that actually reflects who you really are.

A Quiet Rebirth

At some point you’ll reflect upon what you once thought was falling apart was actually making space for the emergence of Life. Like a seed bursting open, what felt like loss was actually refinement. And what felt like disconnection was a return. The Hero’s Journey personified through you.

In the beginning it can be very confusing, true. But then it is beautiful, uncomfortable, and expansive, as well. This is rebirth.

Rebirth doesn’t always have language that can appease our anxiety and it certainly won’t happen in a way that everyone else will understand.

But a rebirth is real and when you have embodied yours, life is forever changed.

A Final Reflection

If you find yourself here somewhere in this process, know that there is nothing wrong with where you are. There is only something unfolding. Laboring for the next iteration of yourself is deeply personal, but it doesn’t mean you have to move through it without support.

Sometimes it helps to have someone who can simply sit with you in it, to hold space, to reflect what you may not yet be able to see clearly for yourself.

Not to lead you somewhere else, but to help you trust where you already are so the next step becomes clear – one step at a time.

Great teachers have said that awakening is not meant to be done in isolation. And when you are on the other side of it, reach back to help the next person.

A rising tide raises all ships!
