Writing enables energy to move, to flow

I write because when life fell apart and I was facing beginning all over again at an age when most are retiring, Spirit told me that it was necessary to simply let the words come through. Some of us have been walking around this planet longer than others. We've watched the world change in extraordinary ways - some beautiful, some bewildering, and some deeply unsettling. We've changed with it, too. Relationships have changed. Our bodies have changed. What we believe has changed. And if we've been paying attention, so has our understanding of who we are.

I've discovered that giving language to something I am living through can be part of its transmutation. When I can bring what was unconscious into awareness, turn toward it with curiosity, and allow it to become something I can see and understand, it often changes. And sometimes, sharing what emerged creates a little recognition for someone else, too.

Other times, the words don't begin with anything particularly personal. I notice a theme appearing in conversations, in the people around me, or simply in the larger collective. Something keeps tapping at my awareness until eventually I know: there's something here. So I create a space, meditate, and then listen.

I don't write because I have everything figured out, nor do I expect everything here to resonate with everyone. These pieces are observations, experiences, questions, discoveries and occasional invitations to look at something from another angle.

Take what speaks to you. Question what doesn't. Let something challenge you if it needs to. And perhaps, every now and then, you'll find words for something you've been feeling but hadn't yet known how to put words to it.
