Discovery in Solitude
Being alone allows you to receive higher wisdom that is always trying to reach you

What's one thing that Jesus the Christ, Prophet Muhammad, Buddha, Krishna, Lao Tzu, Hermes, all have in Common? They embraced being alone because when alone they heard God.
Have you ever felt alone on this spiritual journey of expansion and elevation?
Sometimes you feel like there's no one to turn to and you're the only person in the world that comprehends your thoughts and emotions. It seems that there's really no one with whom you can express how you really see the world and safely commiserate life's events. Now here's an interesting truth - this is all by cosmic design. You are the black sheep that is meant to be alone. The social hive mind makes being alone seem like something for losers but solitude is the path for those that are awakening to the deepest truths. The caterpillars that are awakened can readily transform into butterflies. You will see why the universe purposely, yes purposely, isolates you because (spoiler alert) when alone, you have the best conditions to elevate your mind.
Being with other people stunts your growth. Here is a quote by Pascal who said “all of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly alone”.
This profound quote highlights an aspect of humanity that we've shied away from and that is our discomfort with being alone. Remember, that little child within still exists. Desperately seeking to play with others and be a part of the gang. Recall that, in childhood, being alone is associated with negativity, and so you spend your whole adult life not wanting to feel rejection.
Being part of a collective puts your spiritual elevation in a tough spot because to operate within society, unfortunately, you need a persona which is the mask you build for your self projection. Almost every interaction that you have in society is done while wearing a social mask. Here's another thought, ponder this: you are just a mask that God is wearing. And to uncover the truth of who we really are, we must take off the masks. Truthfully, the only time that the mask ever truly comes off is when we are alone.
Being alone is what allows you to hear God. Carl Jung said, “The highest form of a human being is to be in solitude with him or herself”. When you're alone, the social mask is off and you're truly the authentic self.
It's within this authentic self that the greatest spiritual capabilities exist. This is how you're going to be able to control your reality the way that you want. This is why when you wake up - when you come into this knowledge - or you begin to see the world a bit differently. Being comfortable around the common, regular people and places begins to feel impossible.
Once we fully remove the mask, it puts us in a position to detach from the ego and integrate into the God-Self. When we are among others, the mask is on, which means we're not operating from our true self but an artificial self which we call the ego. Keep in mind that Ego is a GOOD thing. It is the human tool that makes things happen and enjoys the physical visceral pleasures while we are in a body-vessel in this life. But it can be a razor’s edge we walk with regard to our ego-mind identity's agenda and our soul-self purpose. The soul-self, God-Self is supposed to be the master of our ego identity – not the other way around.
Have you noticed that some of the most miserable people are those who always need to be around other people?
Most people are terrified of being alone. Being alone is such a punishment that even in prison- which is already a punishment itself- inmates are further punished with solitary confinement because it is known that the average person, when left alone with their mind long enough, will likely go mad. Alone with only you and you for weeks or months at a time? This is not what most of us would look forward to experiencing.
Another indisputable fact is that to be alone is the truest form of bravery. Sometimes, we like our own company without anyone else around, and guess what? When it comes to being alone, this is where our true superpower exists.
Stories of masters, teachers, and gurus may make it seem like part of waking up is disliking being with people. And in a strange way, whether you want to call it the universe, God, the god self, higher self, it seems like this force purposely wants you to be alone. The wise will say this is because it allows for an elevated perspective on what you need to do to become aligned with God.
Here is another quote from Nero: “Different frequencies = different languages = different worlds”. Being alone presents the opportunity for growth because solitude is an incubation for growth. Part of growth is self-contemplation with the aspects of ourselves that we have repressed to avoid pain or because they're not liked by our parents, partners, co-workers, or society in general.
Often when we are alone, very uncomfortable realizations arise about ourselves. It feels icky, achy, a random pain erupts unwarranted, or a feeling of dread comes over us. This is good. Noticing them and paying attention to them is the first step to understand the aspects of our self that we have categorized as ‘bad’ or ‘evil’. Through inner conversations centered around forgiveness, grace, and understanding we can elevate beyond them. This is alchemizing or transmutation, also known as healing.
With regard to those who we believe have caused us to feel injustice, new perspectives emerge. In the case of resentment, I found this to be helpful: Resentment is the temporary experience of the lack of self-alignment projected outward.
If you identify with your soul, then you see other people as souls. And souls love one another. – Ram Dass.
For those we had been struggling to forgive, we can sense their separation and even though they may have played a part in the troubling stories of our lives, we can now have genuine compassion for them.
When we become intellectually independent, we can attain the now-feeling state of the emotions around specific aspects of a reality we truly desire, such as health, wealth, and happiness. While being alone, you will also become more aware of how others are actually detached from their true selves. When we are completely comfortable with being alone, we can also easily identify who can be alone. Because you know when they seek a degree of genuine internal growth that they're willing to go through a deep transformation, they have faced aspects of themselves and made peace in their wholeness. To be content in being alone is the skill of mastery.
In states of being alone, you are in silence and this practice of silence opens the door for you to be conquered by serenity and a sense of inner calm. Simultaneously, silence is the gateway to reality - God - because you create from this silence. Once you begin to reconstruct your mind, you have to go into the silence, the inner dimensions, because that is the gateway to God, Divine, Source, Creator, the mighty I AM.
Being alone further presents you an opportunity for self-reflection and introspection which positions you to properly arrange the framework of your mind. Because if you want to move into a particular reality, you must be in the frequency of it and that frequency is nothing more than a combination of thought forms with emotional energy attached to them. You must be the architect of your mind. Being the architect of the mind means you literally build the inner domains which eventually will be reflected into the outer domains. A quick way to check-in on ourselves is to ask am I reacting to my environment or am I creating it? Reacting is based on learned behaviors and coping skills which have become habituated. This is actually building the strength of the body-mind identity – the Ego. It is running on your well-established program behind the scenes. The very program you are currently trying to re-write. Create your new program!
The big question to ask oneself is “How can I know myself when I can't be alone for a significant amount of time?”. Thankfully, the universe isolates purposefully to have full control of you molding your consciousness in the way that you want. True, it may look like an illness or injury, inconvenient mechanical or weather issues, or a crisis of any magnitude. None of which sound especially appealing. Yet, we should be grateful for this. Yes, I am here to tell you to MAKE time for your own self-exploration and discovery. Seek out the counsel of those who have traversed these tumultuous waters. At any rate, you should be grateful for the fact that this spiritual journey of elevation and expansion will find a way for you to be alone because when you're alone your consciousness will be reflected into reality. And this new reality will be beyond anything you could have imagined under the previous notions and programs of the past.
All spiritual masters embraced being alone because in silence is when they can hear God. But people say, “what's the point of meditating? I pray.” My answer lately has been, because in my experience:
Prayer is talking to God, but meditation is listening for the response.
Be still and know.
