EMFs, Frequency, and Why Some of Us Feel It More

Today we’re going into the biology of frequency sensitivity and what it’s actually doing to your cells, who is most vulnerable, and what you can do about it.

The Basics: EMF stands for electromagnetic fields. These are invisible forms of energy produced by electricity. We already know about those from your cellphone, Wi-Fi router, Bluetooth devices, fitness watches, and laptops. But did you know it exists in the wiring in your home and with newer appliances and gadgets that are Wi-Fi? All of it emits frequency and those waves compound and accelerate one upon the other.

And here’s where I want you to really tune in: your body is not separate from this conversation.

You are also electrical, therefore you are frequency.

The Earth produces natural electromagnetic fields – it’s what maintains life force, life cycles, the spin of the planet among all of the other planets in our solar system. Your body produces electrical signals every second of every day! Your heart, your brain, your nervous system is all frequency in motion.

So this isn’t about “good vs bad.” It’s about how much, how often, coherence, and how resilient your system is to it.

Is EMF Sensitivity Actually Real?

For a long time, EMFs were only studied for their heating effects. The assumption was simple: if it doesn’t heat tissue, it shouldn’t affect the body. But biology doesn’t work that way. Your body runs on tiny electrical charges and this is how cells communicate, how your nervous system fires, how balance is maintained.

Before chemistry, there is electricity. Before matter, there is frequency.

Once researchers began looking beyond heat, they realized real biological effects, especially in areas like oxidative stress and nervous system signaling.

At the same time, our exposure has changed dramatically. We’re no longer just interacting with natural frequencies like the currents innate in Earth and the Sun. We are immersed in artificial ones, all day, every day.

How EMFs Interact With Your Body

Your body doesn’t just run on nutrition and chemicals like hormones and neurotransmitters. It functions through electrical signaling. Every cell has voltage-sensitive channels. Minerals like sodium and potassium move in and out, creating the electrical impulses your nervous system depends on. This is how your brain talks to your body.

Now layer in constant external frequencies from modern technology. They don’t “override” your system (barring medical treatments) but they do become another input that your body has to process and adapt to.

And just like anything else—mold, chemicals, alcohol—your response depends on:

  • Dose

  • Duration

  • Your individual resilience

Why Some People Feel It… and Others Don’t

Two people can sit in the same room, with the same devices, for the same amount of time and have completely different experiences. One feels fine. The other has frequent headaches, fatigue, anxiety, or brain fog.

But, Why?

It comes down to how well your body manages stressors at the cellular level.

Every cell produces oxidative byproducts (free radicals). Your body neutralizes them using antioxidant systems. When that balance is off - when stress exceeds your capacity to clear it - you feel it.

Yes, genetics can influence this. So can your nutrient status. So can your overall “load” of frequencies and internal stress-signaling communication.

Glutathione, your body’s master antioxidant, plays a huge role here. It protects your mitochondria, regulates inflammation, and supports recovery. When glutathione is low, your system becomes more reactive, not just to EMFs, but to everything*.

What EMF Sensitivity Feels Like

This can get squirrely, because there isn’t usually one clear symptom. It’s more of a pattern:

  • Trouble sleeping

  • Feeling wired but exhausted

  • Headaches

  • Heart palpitations

  • Anxiety that feels physical

  • Brain fog

  • Fatigue that worsens with screen time

And it is inconsistent - which is why people doubt themselves. Some days you’re fine. Other days you feel more overwhelmed. That’s because your body is always managing a total stress load and EMFs are just one piece of the whole puzzle.

When your load is low, your system adapts easily. When your load is high, even small exposures can push you over the edge. At the core of this? A nervous system stuck in overstimulation. One that never takes the time to reset is an ideal target for EMFs.

What’s Actually Happening Inside the Body

Research points to multiple overlapping mechanisms happening at once:

  • Calcium channels in cells becoming overactive

  • Brain overstimulation through excitatory pathways

  • Disruption in nitric oxide balance

  • Increased oxidative stress

  • Histamine release and immune activation

  • Mitochondrial stress leading to energy crashes

So, it’s not necessarily one thing that causes all of your symptoms, but it is a cascade. And your personal biology which is sort of a recipe of your genetics, your nutrient levels, and your nervous system - determines how intense that cascade becomes.

Who Is Most Vulnerable?

Some people are simply more sensitive by design and are profoundly affected. For these individuals, a smart meter installation, a 5G tower going up nearby, or a new router in their home can trigger debilitating symptoms, including severe headaches, heart palpitations, cognitive disruption, skin reactions, and an inability to function in normal environments. Wireless earbuds like AirPods emit radiofrequency radiation and sit directly against the ear canal, within millimeters of brain tissue which is why people get headaches and fatigue quickly.

Some of us are less aware of the body’s subtle nuances and can sit in an office in a large building all day and feel nothing beyond what might be ordinary tiredness.

Children are typically more susceptible and the overall effects of multiple sources of EMFs should be closely monitored.

So for the adults, some things that can lower resilience include:

  • Reduced antioxidant capacity

  • Slower detox pathways

  • Higher baseline inflammation

  • Sensitive nervous systems

  • Histamine intolerance

  • Chronic stress or poor sleep

When multiple factors stack upon on another, your ability to adapt decreases. And that’s when environmental inputs like those emitting the smallest levels of EMFs start to tip the scale and feel overwhelming.

A Deeper Layer: You Are a Frequency System

Here’s where we go beyond chemistry and into something just as real, though often less discussed. Your body isn’t only biochemical: it is bioenergetic.

Your energy centers (aka chakras) regulate the flow and coherence of your system’s frequency. When these centers are stable and coherent, your body processes external inputs such as EMFs more efficiently.

When they’re depleted, blocked, or dysregulated, your sensitivity increases.

This is why two people with similar biology can still respond very differently.

The good news is you can fortify, strengthen and stabilize your energetic field. Through practices that regulate the nervous system, increase coherence, and support energetic alignment, you build resilience. Energetically at first. Then physically.

This is how we begin to mitigate the effects of geopathic stressors like EMFs not through fearful drastic measures, but by fortifying the system.

What You Can Do

This isn’t about eliminating technology or living off-grid, as appealing as that may sound to some of us. But it is about becoming more intentional, aware, and diligent:

1. Reduce unnecessary exposure

  • Turn off Wi-Fi at night

  • Keep devices out of the bedroom

  • Use speakerphone or wired options

  • Create distance between you and devices

  • Wear sleep monitoring devices only sporadically

2. Regulate your nervous system

  • Prioritize sleep!

  • Spend time outdoors, barefoot &/or in ocean water as often as possible

  • Move your body through stretching or exercise

  • Breathe intentionally – find a teacher and learn how

These aren’t “nice to have.” They directly increase your resilience by harmonizing positive and negative ions in the body.

3. Support your biology

  • Stay hydrated with proper electrolytes (based on your lab results)

  • Ensure adequate magnesium – not all magnesium act the same

  • Support antioxidant systems and allow gentle purification regularly

  • Nourish your body consistently, with high frequency foods, supplements, & fresh air

  • Implement tools and techniques that disrupt those frequential energy patterns that are harmful

Most of us no longer have the luxury of choosing to “block” EMFs. Our technology and way of life in the average western city is ubiquitous with EMFs. Think about it – every house in your neighborhood has a router, Wi-Fi appliances, cellphones, and vehicles and towers surround us, as well. Those frequency waves build and cascade upon one another over and over again.

They cannot be eliminated, no. This is about fortifying your ability to handle them.

Can Sensitivity Improve?

"Sensitivity" is not a weakness, and if I may speak for myself, being sensitive enables me to interface more easily with subtle realms. But your resilience to these outside influences can and will improve. So, yes. As your system stabilizes by way of calcium signaling, oxidative balance, histamine response, mitochondrial function, etc. your nervous system calms and your tolerance increases.

But this isn’t a one-time fix. It will be an ongoing relationship with your body. Because this was never just about EMFs. It’s about your total load… and your total capacity.

Final Thought

No, technology isn’t going away and being afraid of 5G, 6G, and the rest to come will solve nothing. So the goal isn’t fear: it is learning to find harmony and creating a fortified, healthy body with energetic coherence that can be resilient in any setting.

This happens through learning more and understanding your body. When you can support your biology, you will strengthen your frequency. And from that place, you don’t just cope with the modern world, you become a steady beacon of light within it.
